About the researcher

I’m Kara Reed, a student at New College of Florida exploring how public clinical-trial data can support better research decisions. This project focuses on a practical question: what can patterns in terminated studies teach us before another study reaches the same outcome?

Data source

The analysis uses the Aggregate Analysis of ClinicalTrials.gov (AACT) dataset, which provides a structured version of records from ClinicalTrials.gov. The project examines 602,514 registered clinical studies and compares the characteristics of studies marked TERMINATED with other status categories. The repository data directory contains the source inventories, processed tables, and documentation used for the visualizations on this site.
